The online Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin—Madison prepares you to meet practice demands today and in the future.

What it is: An online clinical nutrition master’s degree that can be completed in as few as four semesters or at a slower pace to fit your busy life.

Who it’s for: Current dietetic and nutrition professionals who want to enhance and update their knowledge—and get ahead of the competition. Starting in 2024, a master’s degree will be required to take the registration exam for dietitians and will be an important credential for dietetic internships. The online Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition does not take the place of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics; therefore, will not lead to eligibility. Rather, our program is designed to build upon student’s strong foundation in biochemistry, physiology, human and clinical nutrition.

What you’ll learn: You will be immersed in the latest discoveries related to clinical nutrition and dietetics and challenged to think critically. Courses focus on core nutrition, clinical nutrition, public health and other electives, and professional skills such as communications and management.

All applicants must:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent and a minimum grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale
